The Morecambe cenotaph ceremony seemed to go off very well. Leading it for the first time, I didn't feel nervous, just slightly bewildered by the remarkable array of cadets and military societies and associations. Plus wreaths were laid from political parties, the Freemasons, a social club and more.
The son shone on Morecambe Bay, sparing us the soaking of the previous day, and the fallen were respected.
