New Year, New Layout

I decided it was time to ring the changes with the appearance of my blog. In a slightly scary correlation with what my Myers-Briggs personality type predicts, I get bored with things being the same all the time. I used to change the Chaplaincy website template periodically, and the blog gets the same treatment from time to time.

Quite pleased I have now managed to include a new photo and get purple words on to a grey background for the first time in the life of this blog.

Little things please little minds, I guess.

Font & Justification

Haven't yet worked out how to tweak the font and justification settings of this blog layout - need to go through some code to sort it, so sorry that it's right-justified, which is something you now only see in newspapers and on very old printouts from Amstrad computers circa 1986.

Apple again

Apparently you can run Windows on the latest Macs as well as MacOSX. Question is: who'd want to?

Mac anniversary

An iMac G5 17" (Rev. A or B) with an Appl...Image via Wikipedia

Just realised that it's a year since I got my first Apple Mac. It's an iMac G5 if you're the kind of nerdy person who's interested. It was time to replace the PC and most people thought I had gone mad becoming a 'switcher' as they are known in Mac circles. I had had enough with unpredictable PC behaviour and fancied a change.

Haven't regretted it at all. Not only does it look much cooler than any other computer I have ever used; it also works. Even has MS Office (except Publisher, which is a minor but not devastating drawback.) Apparently you can even run Windows if you fork out £100 for Virtual PC.

All this and no viruses too.
