Was listening to some vintage rock the other day, which featured the word 'mantlepiece' in the lyrics. This set off a whole train of thought about pop/rock songs with obscure words in them, such as 'Beltane'. I would still contend that 'sericulture' is the best one I can recall just at the moment.
