Affordable

Apparently we can slow down and stop global warming in an affordable way, according to the IPCC. The reports of the conference say that economic growth can continue without emissions rising indefinitely. How come billions upon billions are spent on armaments and security systems for other threats, but not on a threat like melting the polar icecaps (which would destroy many major cities and presumably have no little impact on economic growth!). It beats me. I'm off to turn some lights off.
