Human Rights

I heard a report on BBC Radio 4 the other day about human rights abuses in Zimbabwe. The presenter and a couple of contributors discussed the options available to put pressure on the Mugabe government, including the role of its neighbouring countries. Then one said that a useful ally in taking forward human rights in Zimbabwe could be China, which has a growing economic role in Africa.

Human rights and China. Was it me, or was the irony lost in the discussion? See what Amnesty International have to say
