The 38 Degrees website has a facility at the moment to contact MPs to encourage them to join the 10:10 campaign. 10:10 is very simple - it is seeking to achieve a 10% reduction in CO2 emissions during 2010. That's well within the reach of most of us. In fact the loft insulation I have arranged to have fitted at a subsidised rate from our energy supplier will probably cover most of my contribution!
It's a practical and realistic way to get things moving in the right direction. Much more needs to be done, but 10% is within nearly everyone's ability to achieve, and most of us could do more. What's more, just some simple energy saving measures will save us money too!
