Some things never change

I remember watching this on a 12" black and white telly as a student with the other guys who shared the flat. We never missed it each week.

Spitting Image did something with a serious message at the end of each series. This one was unique in that Sting himself re-recorded new lyrics, rather than impersonation being used. It was probably the most serious item they ever did. Change the faces and it could have been made yesterday


PS Look at the names in the credits at the end for a few writers who became more famous later, including Ben Elton, Richard Curtis and Ian Hislop.
