That papal interfaith thing again

Phillip Blond, a lecturer at College wrote a short piece on this for the International Herald Tribune here. He argues that although the Pope was unwise in his choice of words, the reaction is best explained by the absence of a philosophical framework, such as was present in the Middle Ages. (or at least I think that's what he means!)
