I Have a New Job

By the time this goes live (am using the automatic publishing option), people will be discovering I will be their next vicar. I have been appointed as the next Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity, Poulton-le-Sands with St Laurence Morecambe (aka Morecambe Parish Church). Despite the name, it's only one Church building, as St Laurence's closed some time ago.

I have been thinking about the next step for some time, and I was preaching there on Easter Day when the advert was out. Having met the congregation and seen the Church it just felt right, and everything else has happened remarkably quickly. It will be a challenge readjusting to vicaring again, but am really looking forward to it.

No start date yet, but looking at early September. Meanwhile, there's an academic year to complete at UoC

Fantastice news Mike, we're very surprised but pleased that as a family you will have a Church to call home again. God moves in strange ways but they are always exciting ways.

Weekend home, eh?

Thanks for your good wishes. It's all happened quite quickly, so still adjusting to the fact that it will actually happen.

Meanwhile, off to Reel Issues at chapel this evening. Hotel Rwanda led by Steve C tonight.
