Can't say I'm terribly sad to see the Democrats doing well. I'm not an expert on American politics, and I'd probably actually vote Green or something if was a US citizen. However, enough has gone wrong both in instigating the war in Iraq and in its prosecution to raise serious questions about this current administration. If this election result means everyone has to start listening to other views, rather than pressing on regardless, then that will be a good thing. Ijust hope it doesn't create an administration that does nothing but run inquiries for the next two years.
Also raised some interesting possibilities about Presidential condidates next time around. Hillary Clinton vs Condoleezza Rice. (I checked the spellings from their websites) Now there's an election contest to relish. It would make a change from men in suits.
